THE PLAYGROUND

Coming summer 2027.

You got your capacity back.

And then came the bit nobody warns you about — you’ve got room, and no real idea what you want to put in it.

You’ll recognise at least two of these.

You research instead of deciding.

You say yes before you’ve checked whether you want to.

You shrink the plan to fit your worst week.

And you’ve been saying when things calm down for about nine years.

This is where you work out what you actually want. Not what’s left over once everyone else has been handled.

It doesn’t have to be impressive. It doesn’t need a tidier life, a bigger goal, or a single person needing you less than they currently do.

You can want things. The people who need you still need you. Both of those are true at once.

One thing worth saying plainly. This comes after. Appetite has to have come back before it works — ask a depleted woman what she wants and she’ll give you an answer sized against what she can survive, and we’d both be building on a bad number.

So you do the three months first. Then this.

I’m building this. The women on this list will shape what it becomes, and they’ll hear first.
